Oak Grove Manor & Burlingables is a residential area on Burlingame's east side near Oak Grove and Carolan Avenues. In the late 1800s William Corbitt's San Mateo Stock Farm, a horse-breeding ranch, operated nearby; around 1900 Francis Carolan and his wife, Pullman heiress Harriett Pullman Carolan, bought it and used the old racetrack for polo. Most homes were built between the 1930s and '60s in Mediterranean Revival, Dutch Colonial Revival, Tudor and ranch styles, and a couple of model homes on Bloomfield Road were brought over by barge from the 1939 Treasure Island World's Fair.
