Central Park Redwood City, CA

Redwood City's busiest single-family market, a large area of central Redwood City.

About the neighborhood

Living in Central Park

Central Park is the MLS area that covers a large swath of central Redwood City, including Palm Park and Woodside Plaza. It holds a piece of early California history: Union Cemetery, the state's first cemetery association, where the town's original settlers were buried. The tanneries and boardinghouses of early Redwood City gave way to rows of ranch homes and low-rise apartments, and by 1953 the Woodside Plaza shopping center at Woodside Road and Massachusetts Avenue had opened. Today it's by far the city's busiest single-family market: 114 sales in the last 12 months and more than 1,500 since 2015, with a 12-month median around $2.05M, and 2026 sales so far have averaged about 105% of asking.

Parking & walkability: Most homes have a driveway and a garage, though some older blocks have narrower lots and busier street parking. Much of the area is flat and close to El Camino Real's and Woodside Road's shops, and downtown Redwood City's restaurants and the Caltrain station are a short drive or bike ride away. Highway 101 and 280 are both easy to reach.

Borders are built lot by lot from the county's property lines and where homes have been listed (MLS neighborhood codes), and stay inside official city limits (dashed), so a home or two along an edge may differ from official MLS lines.
