Bay Vista is Foster City's official Neighborhood #2, set between the San Francisco Bay shoreline and the city's lagoon. It was built between 1965 and 1969 by the same three builders T. Jack Foster used in Treasure Isle (Kay, Duc and Elliot, and Eichler), and its streets are named after birds. It's mostly single-family homes, with a smaller number of townhomes and condos, and it's one of Foster City's busier single-family markets, with 20 sales and a median around $2.18M over the last 12 months; 2026 sales so far have averaged about 108% of asking.
Parking & walkability: Most homes have an attached two-car garage and a driveway, and the residential streets are quiet and easy to park on. The Bay Trail along the shoreline levee is right at the edge of the neighborhood, and the flat streets and lagoon paths make it easy to get around on foot or by bike. Highway 101, Highway 92 and the San Mateo Bridge are a few minutes' drive.
