Living in Marina Point
Marina Point is Foster City's official Neighborhood #4, which also includes Sand Harbor, and it was the neighborhood under construction when Foster City incorporated on April 27, 1971. It was also the last subdivision built in numerical order; Isle Cove and Dolphin Bay came next. Its streets are named after ships and their parts (Mainsail and Topsail Courts among them), and it's mostly condos and townhomes from the 1970s and '80s, about four out of five sales since 2015, along with a small number of single-family homes. Condos and townhomes are among the more affordable in Foster City, with a 2025 median around $805K, and they've been taking a little longer to sell lately, about two months in 2026 at just under asking.
Parking & walkability: Condo and townhome complexes include assigned or garage parking, with guest parking more limited in some complexes. Single-family homes have attached garages. The neighborhood is flat, with paths along the lagoon and the Bay Trail close by, and everyday shopping is a short walk or bike ride for much of the area. Highway 92 and Highway 101 are a few minutes' drive.
