Living in Sea Colony
Sea Colony is Foster City's official Neighborhood #7, in the city's southeast corner, and the last area built under T. Jack Foster's original plan. It includes Longwater, Pitcairn, Plum Island, Alden Park, Williams Landing and Antigua, and its streets are named after small islands. It's mostly single-family homes from the 1970s and '80s, larger than in the older neighborhoods, with big garages and family rooms, plus a handful of townhomes. It's one of Foster City's higher-priced areas, with a 12-month median around $2.56M, and homes sold in a median of 14 days at about 105% of asking in 2025.
Parking & walkability: Most homes have an attached two-car garage and a driveway, and the residential streets are quiet and easy to park on. Like all of Foster City, it's flat, with lagoon paths and the Bay Trail close by, so walking and biking are easy. Everyday shopping is a short drive, and Highway 92 and Highway 101 are a few minutes away.
