Treasure Isle Foster City, CA
Foster City's Neighborhood #1, with single-family homes and a large share of townhomes and condos near the lagoon.
Living in Treasure Isle
Treasure Isle is Foster City's oldest neighborhood, official Neighborhood #1 (which also includes Admiralty and Bay Breeze), and home to three of the city's seven original islands. Foster City's first full-time residents, the family of a San Francisco firefighter, moved into a five-bedroom Kay Builders home on Pilgrim Drive on March 7, 1964, paying $23,500. Most of the neighborhood went up between 1963 and 1965, with homes by Kay Builders, Duc and Elliot, and Joseph Eichler, and its streets are named for famous ships. Today it mixes those original homes with a larger number of townhomes and condos, about two-thirds of sales since 2015. Single-family homes have a 12-month median around $1.97M, while the condo and townhome median has eased to about $1.14M so far in 2026.
Parking & walkability: Single-family homes typically have attached two-car garages and driveways, and townhome and condo complexes include assigned parking with more limited guest spaces. Foster City is flat and laced with paths along the lagoons and the Bay Trail, so walking and biking are easy. Everyday shopping is close by, and Highway 92, the San Mateo Bridge and Highway 101 are all a few minutes away.

Borders are built lot by lot from the county's property lines and where homes have been listed (MLS neighborhood codes), and stay inside official city limits (dashed), so a home or two along an edge may differ from official MLS lines.
