Tobin Clark Estate & Polo Terrace is Hillsborough's southernmost neighborhood, surrounded on most sides by San Mateo. Most of it was the grounds of the Tobin Clark estate, whose mansion was built in the 1930s for bank heiress Celia Tobin Clark and was once the only house in the area. The land wasn't developed until the 1970s, so homes here are newer than the Hillsborough norm, and many were built in the last 20 years. Today it's entirely single-family homes on large lots, with about 10 sales a year. Prices have jumped lately: the 12-month median is around $6.89M, up from about $5.2M in 2025.
