Green Hills is a pocket of single-family homes in the west Millbrae hills near the Green Hills Country Club. In 1880, Johann Ludemann bought 72 acres here and started the area's first nursery; he sold the land in 1915, and it eventually became the country club. The neighborhood itself wasn't subdivided until the mid-1970s, which is why it's a series of cul-de-sacs off Green Hills Drive. Only one or two homes sell here in a typical year, so there isn't enough recent data for a reliable median; recent sales have been in the $2.1M–$2.5M range, often well over asking.
Parking & walkability: Homes have garages and driveways on quiet hillside streets. It's a driving neighborhood, with Highway 280 close by and downtown Millbrae a few minutes away.
