Millbrae's first large subdivision and its busiest single-family market.
Living in Millbrae Highlands
Millbrae Highlands was the neighborhood that created Millbrae: developer Niels Schultz had completed his original plan by 1945, just as the rest of the city's growth was beginning. Its older, gridded, tree-lined streets hold pre-war and early postwar homes, while streets above Minorca Way wind uphill toward Highway 280 with 1950s and '60s homes built to capture bay views. Today it's Millbrae's busiest single-family market, with 31 sales in the last 12 months at a median around $2.3M, plus a small number of condos.
Parking & walkability: Most homes have a garage and a driveway, and street parking is generally easy on the residential blocks. Downtown Millbrae's Broadway shops and restaurants and the Millbrae BART and Caltrain station are a short drive or bike ride, and parts of the neighborhood are within walking distance. Highway 280 and 101 are both close.
